Embark on an epic Challenge across the GREAT UNITED STATES
RUN – BIKE – PUSH RIM
The Great American Race is virtual challenge taking participants almost 2600 miles from Sunset Beach CA to Sunset Beach NC.
- Run, Bike or Push Rim anywhere/anytime and log your mile via our online dashboard with a map to follow along the course.
- Complete the challenge on your own or with a team of up to 9 others (everyone earns the same swag)
- Choose to complete the whole Great American Race or just the “East” or “West” half of the route.
- Earn a MASSIVE 8″ moving medal – 15″ for the entire USA.
- Customize your medal! Choose one of 27 custom charms to slide on your medal.
- Included United We Run Tech Quarter Zip for all participants!
- Add-on a “Dog Companion Pack” for your four legged running partners. (this counts as 1 on your team)
OPTION 1: Run The Great American Challenge
Complete just over 2582 Miles across the United States from Sunset Beach CA to Sunset Beach NC. Complete this challenge alone or create/join a team and count everyone’s miles collectively. This registration will include both the East and the West US Race Medal +1 United We Run Tech Quarter Zip. Option 1 will also include the ability to log you’re miles via our official dashboard and view yourself on our interactive map plus see where your friends are as well. You will also have access to our private Great American Race Facebook Community. Additional Swag such as T’Shirts, Pajama Pants & Stickers will be available for purchase. Option 1 is $80, there is NO time limit to complete this challenge and your packet will ship when you finish – with the first ones going out in February 2021. OPTION 2: Run The East
Complete 1063 Miles across the eastern portion of the United States from the Coast of Sunset Beach NC to the Arkansas/Oklahoma State line. This registration will include the Eastern Race Medal +1 United We Run Tech Quarter Zip. Option 2 will also include the ability to log you’re miles via our official dashboard and view yourself on our interactive map plus see where your friends are as well. You will also have access to our private Great American Race Facebook Community. Additional Swag such as T’Shirts, Pajama Pants & Stickers will be available for purchase. Option 2 costs $55, there is NO time limit to complete this challenge and your packet will ship when you finish – with the first ones going out in February 2021. Complete 1519 Miles across the western portion of the United States from the Arkansas/Oklahoma State line to Sunset Beach CA. This registration includes the Western Race Medal +1 United We Run Tech Quarter Zip. Option 3 will also include the ability to log you’re miles via our official dashboard and view yourself on our interactive map plus see where your friends are as well. You will also have access to our private Great American Race Facebook Community. Additional Swag such as T’Shirts, Pajama Pants & Stickers will be available for purchase. Option 3 is $55, there is NO time limit to complete this challenge and your packet will ship when you finish – with the first ones going out in February 2021. OPTION 4: Great American Race Community & Map Access
With this option you will gain access to our interactive map and have the ability to log you’re miles across the United States as well as our private Great American Race Facebook Community. You will not receive a medal but can add additional swag items on for purchase such as T-shirt’s, Pajama Pants and stickers. Option 4 is $20, and if you purchase items they will ship with the first wave going out in February 2021.
OPTION 5: Great American Race Community Access
With this option you will have access to our private Great American Race Facebook Community. You will not receive a medal or be able to log your miles but you can add additional swag items on for purchase, such as T’shirt’s, Pajama Pants and Stickers. Option 5 is FREE and if you purchase items they will ship with the first wave going out in February 2021
OPTION 6: Dog Companion Pack
With this option you will be able to include your dogs miles on your team. When you have completed the challenge your dog will receive his or her own medal and dog bandana PLUS We’ll throw in an additional Doggie Charm. It’s SO cute! The Dog Companion Pack is $20.

All finishers in all of the challenges earn a 1/4 zip with their finisher package. So no matter if you run the East, West or the whole Great American Challenge, you’ll receive a really nice tech 1/4 zip. *These are unisex sizing.

We’re offering a “Customized Medal” with 27 different charm options to choose from and customize your own finisher medal. Similar to your very own bitmoji; choose an outfit color, gender, skin tone and activity for the charm that will slide on the route through your finisher medal.
Solo:
Register and run the entire distance by tracking your own miles in our dashboard. You can choose to run the East, West or whole Great American Challenge by yourself if you’d like. Run anywhere/anytime, at your own pace with no deadline to finish.
Teams:
Grab up to 9 of your friends to join you on the challenge. You split the miles with your teammates and combine you’re miles. Each of you will register separately but join the same team (one of you will need to create your team when you register). You can run the East, West or whole Great American Challenge with your team.
Do you run with your dog? Here’s the perfect opportunity to earn extra swag (for your dog) while they’re logging miles with you.
#1) You can log their miles along with you.
#2) Earn a bandana with the race theme on it (one size fits most)
#3) Earn an extra interchangeable custom charm your medal with either a light or dark dog design
#4) Earn a dog bone shaped medal for their efforts as well. Hang it with yours – it might be the only medal your pup earned that hangs with your medals!

Love the idea and willing to share it? After you register, you’ll be given a referral link to share. For every person that signs up using your link, you’ll get $5 refunded automatically on your card. There is NO LIMIT to the number of referral refunds you could earn so keep sharing with your running community!

After you have successfully registered begin logging your miles by signing into your RunSignUp account, you will then want to select the “Great American Challenge” and then input your miles & time for the day. Once you have completed the challenge we will automatically ship your package to you. These will begin shipping mid February 2021.
We will have our “First Heat” registration open now through the end of January and ship out all of your swag on or before February 20th. Registration will remain open and we will launch new heats. The earlier you register, the sooner you can start logging miles and earn your swag!
These FAQ’s are a little different than our typical race, if you don’t find your answer here or anywhere on the Challenge race page, feel free to use our contact form here and we will reply as quickly as possible. We will update this page with more FAQ’s as they’re asked.
How do I track my mileage
– Once you register, you’ll be given instructions on how to track your miles and time via a free app (Strava) and how to log those miles in the system. It’s really easy!
How do I join the private Facebook group
– Once you register, you’ll be given a link to join the private Facebook group. You’ll have to request to join and it’ll ask you for your registration number. We also send you a post registration email with instructions. We will do our best to approve you as soon as possible and get you in the group.
When will the items be shipped
– We’ll be shipping the first “heat” on or before February 20th. If we sell out or you’re registered for the second “heat”, we’ll be shipping those items out in the Spring and communicate with you as we get an exact date.
Where/when can I run
– Anywhere/Anytime – start logging miles immediately after you register.
Stroller/Dog Friendly
– Of Course! We don’t recommend leaving them behind
Hydration
– Highly recommended – On Your Own! Whether it be a hand held, vest or dropping bottled water along your route – hydrate!
Course Information
– Road – Trail – Beach or Dreadmill. Wherever you choose to run!
Not Certified/Sanctioned/Chip Timed
– This course is not certified or sanctioned, nor is is supported or chip timed. It is a completely virtual challenge where you’ll track your distance and log your miles through our online dashboard. I think this was pretty clear but just to be safe.
You Got This
– Use our challenges to motivate yourself to cover as many miles each week as you can, but pace yourself, this is on your time! We will help you track your progress and feel a part of a larger running community through our Facebook Group and tracking program.

1) Click Here to login to your Run Sign Up account.
2) Click Here or navigate to your “Profile”
3) Click “Submit Virtual Results”
4) Add your activity, date completed, miles, time and any comments and click submit.
