Thank you so much for joining us at the 43rd Annual Winter Run in North Myrtle Beach! This is our pre-race post answering some frequently asked questions and helping you have a great race day with us on Saturday January 17th.  Most of this information is on the North Myrtle Beach Winter Run Website Here as well.

PACKET PICKUP (FRIDAY – 1/16):

FIRST 50 ATTENDEES – Receive a free tshirt from our sponsor Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry!

 

FOOD DRIVE – HELP US MAKE A BIG IMPACT IN OUR COMMUNITY!
The local food bank has requested “Canned Pasta Sauce” – of course any non-perishable foods are accepted and greatly appreciated. We helped collect over 10,000 lbs of food through local races in 2025!

 

WHERE/WHEN:  We would love for you to join us on Friday 1/16 from 3pm – 6pm at Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry located at 900 Hwy 17 S. Suite E, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 to pickup your packet. This is highly encouraged if you’re available to come on Friday.  CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS
– You may pick up bibs for family & friends.

 

Alternatively, we will have race day pickup near the start line from 6:00am – 7:15am. You’ll need to arrive extra early to park first, then head to Main St. to pickup your packet. Use the address: 214 Main St. North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.  *NOTE: There is no bag drop for this race.

RACE DAY (SATURDAY – 1/17):

ARRIVE EARLY:

Plan to arrive between 6:00am – 7:00am to park. See below for a parking map.

BIB NUMBERS:

We will be assigning bib numbers to participants as they show up so you don’t need to know your bib number.

START TIME:

Both 5K & 15K races start at 8am sharp on Main St.

PARTICIPANT SWAG!

We will be handing out your long sleeve shirts with your bib at packet pickup and medals at the finish line. The same swag is offered for all participants in both events this year.

AWARDS:

It is very important that you stay for awards. We are doing trophies for overall/masters/age group so we will not be able to ship these.

WHERE TO PARK?

Below is a map to the large parking lots (⭐)  where participants can park. If you’re driving down Main St. you will turn left or right on Hillside Dr. Our team will direct you into one of 2 lots:
#1) Right onto 2nd Ave. N. to lot #1: 215 2nd Ave. N. North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 – CLICK HERE for directions

FAQ’S:

Are Dogs Allowed?
– While we love our 4-legged friends, they are not allowed on the race course due to insurance.
Can I run with headphones?
– Yes, just be mindful of surroundings and courteous of others.
What are the age group awards?
– Top 3 Male/Female every 5 years starting with <9 for the 5K and <19 for the 15K; upto 80+.
– Top 3 Male/Female Masters (Over 40); Top 3 Overall
*Age group awards are by chip time, masters and overall are by gun time. If you win a masters or overall award, you are not eligible age group awards.
Are Walkers Allowed?
Yes! We have lots of walkers at the event. Our time limit for both events is 10:30am which allows for a 16 min per mile pace in the 15K.
Are There Water Stops?
Yes, with water and gatorade roughly every 2 miles on course.
Are The Courses Certified?
Yes, they are measured to be the exact distance and qualify for state records.
Can I Transfer From In-Person To Virtual?
Yes, you can manage this in your RunSignUp account up until 1/16/2026. There is a small fee to cover shipping.
When Will Virtual Packets Be Shipped?
We aim to get these out the week following the race and it will include your shirt and medal.
Is There A Bag Drop Near The Start/Finish Line?
Parking is within a couple of blocks for this race – we do not provide a bag drop for this event.
