THE CAUSE & WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US:
We want to raise as much money for local cancer groups as possible! We are excited to introduce a fundraising event that is open to ALL non-profit cancer groups. We want to create an event that supports and helps all local cancer groups come together for a fundraising effort. We are currently accepting requests from non-profit groups that want to be involved in fundraising, bringing awareness to their group and getting involved in the race. Email: info@coastalraceproductions.com if you are connected in any way to a group that might be interested

All 5K finishers earn this beautiful 4″ boot medal with a spinning spur on the back and the top can be used as an actual bottle opener! And 50K finishers (including solo & all team members) earn an amazing REAL BELT BUCKLE medal to commemorate their achievement. Big medals with a touch of glitter – you’re going to absolutely love them!!
The shirt is actually a soft tech fabric with a light print on the front and all of our amazing sponsors featured on the back. This is going to be a shirt you love and wear often – pretty much guaranteed!
EVERYTHING RACE DAY:
This is going to be a full morning of fun at the first annual Buck Cancer Run Rodeo in North Myrtle Beach (Sports Complex). When you arrive, we’ll be parking in the meadow right next to the start/finish line (5:30 – 6:30am). The first 5K starts at 7am and we’ll be doing a 5K every hour on the hour until 4:00pm with the finale for the day. If you’re participating in the “5K” – your race start time is 7:00AM to be in the very first one of the day. We’ll have live music, beer garden, food and we’re looking for a mechanical bull! This will be the run rodeo you don’t want to miss! We’ll pause music in the morning to host awards on the stage for the 5K but everyone is a winner for joining us and helping us raise money for local non-profits.
Race Times:
7:00am – 5K & 50K (first loop)
Every hour on the hour – subsequent 5K’s for participants and teams in the 50K Ultra.
Arriving:
Come early! Use the park address for directions and our team will direct you where to park: 150 Citizens Cir, Little River, SC 29566
Parking:
We will have a parking team out that morning starting at 5:30 so come early to get parked no later than 6:15.
During Race:
Safety is our #1 priority. We will have closed roads and traffic control as well as volunteers on course to help you. We discourage headphones and no dogs, bicycles or scooters are allowed per USATF sanctioning and anyone without an official race bib will be asked to leave the course. Follow our directional signs, volunteers and staff – they know the course and where you need to be running.
Post Race:
Live Music, DJ’s, Food, Beer & maybe a mechanical bull! Awards for Top 3 Overall Female/Male, Top 3 Overall Female/Male Masters, as well as age groups (every 5 years) for the 50K & 5K Female/Male runners.
5K ll 50K ll TEAMS:
We’re doing a 5K every hour, on the hour starting at 7:00am until 4:00pm (10 hours). If you are in the “5K” event, this is at 7:00am only. We are expecting a big crowd so please plan to arrive early for parking and be ready to start at 7:00am.
50K Ultra (Solo)
Your first lap starts at 7:00am. You’ll be running all 10 laps on the day of the same certified 5K course. If you finish early, hang around and enjoy the after party area because you cannot start early. The laps will continue on the hour every hour from 7:00am – 4:00pm and if you are registered for the 50K Ultra (solo), that means we will see you at the start line 10x.
50K Ultra (Teams)
We are offering the registration option for 2 person teams and 5 person teams. What does that mean and how does it work? You and your teammates will share running the 5K’s on the day but everyone will receive the same race shirt and belt buckle.
2 Person Teams: Only 1 of you will start at 7:00am and you will alternate all day so each of you will run 25K (5 laps).
5 Person Teams: Only 1 of you will start at 7:00am and you each will end up running (2) 5K’s on the day. Split them up as you wish.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFO FOR TEAMS:
The first member of the team needs to create a “Group/Team”. On the first page of registration, you’ll see this option “Would you like to join or create a Group/Team” – click yes. Then create the team and give it a name on the next page. You can (and should) create a password so that someone else doesn’t join your team that you didn’t intend to join.

WE BRING THE FUN:
When you close your eyes and think of a post race party mixed with a rodeo – that’s what we’re trying to create. I mean, minus the actual bull and cowboys/cowgirls – although, dress up if you want, please don’t bring your pet bulls.. We’ll have a beer garden starting early. Live music on the stage all day. Food & fun will commence with the first start at 7:00am and go all day until final 50K awards in the afternoon. Come for the run and the cause – stay for the party!
YOUR COURSE MAPS:
We are in the process of certifying the course and will post it here. We can tell you that the 5K is a single loop and the 50K will be doing this same loop 10X on the day.
PLANNING YOUR TRIP:
Coming in from out of town? North Myrtle Beach has so much going on that you may want to plan a bit longer stay here. Check out a few things below but you can always checkout the local visitors guide here. If you’re flying into the area, welcome to South Carolina! The closest airport (KCRE) is for small aircrafts while Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is the closest major airport just 30 minutes away. You may also fly into Wilmington North Carolina (ILM) about 1 hour away. There are hotels all over. We are looking for a hotel partner but do not currently have one. We will update here if we’re able to coordinate a room block or special race rate. This area is absolutely full of fun! Great local restaurants, fishing, surfing, boating, golfing, sitting by the beach or beach combing for shells. Tons of shopping in North Myrtle Beach – we hope you enjoy our little slice of heaven!
FRIDAY MAY 14TH – PACKET PICKUP:
WHEN: Friday 5/14 2pm – 7pm

VIRTUAL RACE OPTIONS:
HOW DO WE DO VIRTUAL RACES?
If you can’t make it to the race on race day – you can choose to run these events virtual. This page will explain:
– What is a virtual race?
– How to sign up for a virtual race?
– How to complete a virtual race?
– Can I switch to virtual if I’m already registered for the in-person event?
– And a few other FAQ’s.
What is a Virtual Race?
A virtual race is when you run the event on your own time – where ever you want. While we can’t wrap up the after party and ship you the beer and bbq, we will ship you your swag items (shirt/medal) in the mail after the event.
How to sign up for Virtual?
This is super easy. Just head over to the registration page and find the registration distance you want to sign up with that also says “Virtual”. So if you want to run the half marathon virtually – select “Virtual Half Marathon”.
How To Complete A Virtual Race?
This is on the honor system. Run anywhere/anytime, no need to send us proof or log your miles online. Everyone that is registered for virtual will get the swag (medal & giveaway) shipped to your door within 2 weeks after the race.
Can I Switch To Virtual If I’m Registered For The In-Person Race?
Yes, but there are deadlines and a small $15 processing fee to cover the shipping/handling. If you’ve signed up to be at the race but for any reason you can’t make it and want to switch or “transfer” your race to a virtual race, here are a couple of things to keep in mind:
#1) It must be done in advance before the event.
#2) You must manage this yourself by logging into your RunSignUp account and choosing the “Event Transfer” option and choose the “Virtual” option for your distance and race. Again, keep in mind there will be an online processing fee to make any changes.
FAQ’s & Policies:
Please keep in mind, these are our policies and they may differ from another virtual race company. We think you will find our options very accommodating to you as a runner and we ask that you please read them carefully. We are a small company and cannot make any special exceptions. This is something that you must register for separately and the following registration policies apply. You must be registered for the virtual option in order to receive race packet by mail.
- If you are registered to run in a race and cannot attend, all of the registration policies on our FAQ page still apply to you. The only way to run a race virtually and receive your packet in the mail is if you are registered under the virtual option.
- You may transfer to the virtual option up to 7 days prior to an event. You will manage this through your personal RunSignUp account and there is a $15.00 processing fee.
- Packets will not be available for pick up race weekend. Even if you come to the race for any reason, or send family/friends to pick up your packet, we will not hand out any bibs, shirts, medals, or other swag items for any virtuals during a race weekend.
- ALL virtual packets will be mailed within 2 weeks of the race.
- We will only ship packets to those who are actually registered for the virtual option. (Cut off for this is 7 days prior to the each event)
*If you decide to come to the race instead of run it virtually. You must manage this through your RunSignUp account 7 days prior to the event. You will have to pay the difference in price as well as a $15.00 processing fee but we would love to have you join us! It’s so much more fun to run with friends!

Here is a direct link to the form you’ll need to fill out.
Register Offline: We really prefer for you to register online if at all possible – it’s quick and easy with the link at the top of the page.

Registration Policy: We currently do not allow for refunds on our events. You may read more about this on our FAQ page.
Event Transfer: If you want to change from one distance to another distance at the same race on the same weekend, we allow you to do this yourself prior to any Coastal Race Productions event. This cutoff to switch is typically the final week leading up to a race and based upon availability in that event. You will manage this through your RunSignUp account and there is a $15 processing fee.
Bib Exchange/Transfer: You can transfer your bib to another runner prior to a race. You must login to your RunSignUp account and initiate this bib exchange by placing their name and email in. There will be a $15 processing fee, then the recipient will receive an email to accept the bib and sign our online waiver. Whether you gift it to them or they pay you for it on this side is up to you.
General FAQ’S: Visit our General FAQ’s page for answer’s to all of your questions regarding Coastal Race Events.
*Please note: Anyone on the course without a race bib will be asked to leave the course. Anyone running with a dog unless you have the required USATF paper work will be asked to leave the course. Companion riders on bicycles are not allowed and will be asked to leave the course. These are all due to insurance regulations and are grounds for disqualification – It is for the safety of ALL participants.
