Thank you for joining us for the Inaugural Halloween Hustle 10K, 5K, 1M & 3-Race Challenge event downtown Conway (or the City of Halloween) on Saturday October 19th, 2024. We have over 1,200 participants for the inaugural event registered so far and this email has a lot of the important pre-race information such as:

FOOD DRIVE (10/18/2024):

We’ve partnered with the local food bank to help collect non-perishable items during our packet pickup on Friday. If you have the means, we would encourage you to bring canned vegetables and snacks like nutrigrain bars, granola bars or peanut butter crackers – these are the most needed items for the local Conway Food Bank. To date in 2024 – we’ve collected over 7,000lbs of food for local families – THANK YOU!!

 

PACKET PICKUP (10/18/2024):

WHEN: Friday 10/18/2024 from 2pm – 7pm
WHERE: Conway Sports & Fitness Center located at 1515 Mill Pond Rd, Conway, SC 29527.

*If you can’t make it yourself, we STRONGLY encourage you to have a friend or family member pick up your packet for you. We will have an emergency race day pickup option near the start line, but please only use this if you absolutely have to.

 

RACE DAY (10/19/2024):

We will have a parking team out to help you starting at 5am. CLICK HERE for directions to parking or use the address: 7 Elm St, Conway, SC 29526. We encourage you to arrive 1 hour before your start!  Early birds get the BEST spots!

7AM – 10K Starts
8:30AM – 5K Starts
9:30AM – 1 Mile Starts

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

IS THE EVENT DOG FRIENDLY? We love our four-legged friends but due to this being a certified and sanctioned event with USATF, we are not allowed to have dogs on course unless its a pre-approved service animal and registered with USATF.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY SHIRT? When you check in and receive your bib prior to the race.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY MEDAL? Immediately after you finish – in the finish line chute.  Challenge runners – see below.

CHALLENGE RUNNERS – You will receive all of your medals together at the end of the race. So as you complete the 10K & 5K, you will not be receiving a medal, they will all be handed to you after you complete the 1 Mile.

WHERE IS THE AFTER PARTY & WHAT’S INCLUDED? We’ve got beer and BBQ for you to enjoy after you finish your race right behind the finish line. Your bib will have a ticket for beer and BBQ so come hang out with us after the race!

ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED? Yes, strollers are allowed but will need to start at the back of the corral to avoid any kind of tripping in the crowd at the start – you will still be included in age group awards though and these are done by “Chip Time” – the net time from when you cross the start line to the time you finish.

AWARDS: We will host award ceremonies throughout the day for the 10K & 5K. There are age group awards every 5 years and trophies for the overall and masters (over 40) winners! This will be behind the finish line in the after party area.

ARE THE COURSE CERTIFIED? Yes, both the 5K & 10K are USATF certified and sanctioned.

CAN I START LATE? No late starts are allowed due to logistics and safety on the roads.

ARE THERE WATERSTOPS? Yes, we have 1 water stop on the 5K and 2 on the 10K – both will have volunteers handing out water and Gatorade.
