Coastal Race Productions hosts premier races along the coast from Wilmington NC to North Myrtle Beach SC with Brunswick County serving as their home base. The company celebrated 10 years of Racing at the recent Run Sunset Beach held on April 29th with runners pouring in from 33 States and Canada. There is a years worth of planning that goes into that single half day event but the team couldn’t do it without a host of community support.
Over the last 12 months Coastal Race hosted 10 different events and over 800 amazing community members rolled up their sleeves and Volunteered. Runners LOVE volunteers and the needs are great! Tasks range from water stops, intersection cheerleaders, handing out HUGE medals among many other things. We partner with some key non- profits in what we have labeled our Volunteer 4 Donation program. Volunteers can select an organization to represent and we make a donation on their behalf. If an organization gets 20+ volunteers they earn a bonus.
One of several groups that were represented at the recent race was The Brunswick Center at Calabash and they came our in a really big way with a total of 28 active volunteers. Their mission to promote the well-being and enhance the quality of life for all senior adults of Brunswick County through education, socialization, fitness, and other supportive services aligns really well with Coastal Race Productions and we are excited about this partnership and thrilled to contribute to their program.
